First Class Lounge Door & the Cargo Hold Crate

Short answer: the crate in the cargo hold and the First Class Lounge door appear together in the official 1.0.1 patch notes - but as a collision fix after the crate inspection, not as a hidden lock.

What the official patch actually says

Patch 1.0.1 (Aug 25, 2026): "Fixed the First Class Lounge door after inspecting the crate in the cargo hold. Players can no longer walk through the closed door." The same patch added missing collision to objects in the lounge, including pillars players could previously walk through.

What this means

  • The crate in the cargo hold is part of the investigation - inspecting it is intended.
  • The lounge door is not a secret passage: before the fix, the closed door had a collision gap and you could pass through it.
  • After the fix, the door behaves as a door. If it will not open, that is a progression or story gate, not a code.

If the door still will not open

  1. Update the game - the fix shipped Aug 25, 2026.
  2. Make sure the cargo-hold inspection actually completed (the objective or notebook entry updated).
  3. Remember the door may simply be gated by the current chapter; the story opens areas in order.
  4. Do not paste codes from other Titanic games - nothing applies across titles, and no lounge code is published here.

FAQ

FAQ

Common questions about this topic.

Why can I not open the First Class Lounge door?

Before Patch 1.0.1 the problem was the opposite - players could walk through the closed door. The door now behaves normally; if it will not open, it is story-gated or tied to a step you have not completed.

Where is the crate in the cargo hold?

The cargo hold crate is named in the official Patch 1.0.1 notes and is part of the investigation; the game directs you to it through objectives.

Was there a code for the lounge?

No lounge code is published in the official notes. The patch language is about collision, not a lock.

Is this the same as Sinclair's Room?

No - that is a separate progression-blocking bug with a doorknob, also fixed in Patch 1.0.1.
